how often does the fuel filter inside the carbs stop up, just started having problems, could it possible be the filter in the tank?

HI Chris and welcome to the best Seadoo forum around. CATFISH????? I thought you caught a big one.....:)

Since you have 2 early model yr skis, If you have gray tempo fuel lines I would change them ASAP to black auto line & add an inline fuel filter too. See this thread...........http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?33749-How-To-Adding-an-in-line-filter

Remove/rebuild the carbs and change or clean the inside filters. Also look at the big semi clear filter near the front for any debris...it just unscrews, but might drip gas so be careful. If rebuilding use only OEM carb parts.

I change or clean my carb filters about every other season. Does your ski still have the grey tempo fuel lines? Let us know.

Lou

yes on the gray lines, everything is original I know it probably doesn't matter but this unit has less than 100 hrs I keep fuel stabile in it.

The gray lines will decay inside due to the ethanol in the gas. It makes a green goo that plugs up everything, including the carbs, filters, and fuel selector knob (ON/Reserve/Off). replace and clean everything
