Can i remove the yellow handle bar pad on a 1996 seadoo and leave it like that?

i want to get rid of the nasty yellow pad and i dont know if it has a bar across that i could put a renthal bar cover over, i think it would look much cooler.

Nope no cross bar.
I hope its not for the xp.
Especially if you like your teeth.

I've seen some without the pad. They look incomplete to me. And they do serve a safety purpose.

A square clamp with 4 nuts sticking up.

You would want to upgrade to the UMI set up if you can get a set.
