Best spot to mount Transducer on Islandia

Don't have a pic handy... but there is a nice, solid flat spot between the engine and the bilge pump. Sand it flat, and glue it down with epoxy.

If you just bought a new down scanning (chirp) system... you have to hang it off the back. I guess they lose resolution shooting though the hull.
 
I have a chirp transducer but boat had a airman p66 transducer mounted that I had to remove for now due to installation of the smart trim tabs. I just want to get it into a good clean water spot the first time so it reads accurate.
