I have two '95 Seadoos. An XP and an SPi. I keep reading about two beeps when starting or when plugging in the kill switch. Neither of mine beep. Where are the 'beepers' and how do I diagnose this issue? If these aren't working, wouldn't that mask an overheat condition?

on the xp, the beeper should be in the foam, which is under the handle bar pad. I would assume the same for the spi.

Beeping Seadoos

Two beeps when you put the Safety Lanyard on only occurs with DESS systems. Mid '96 year ended the non-dess systems.
Ditgital Electronic Security System.

DESS has three wires to the lanyard post, and an embedded code in the cap's magnet.
Non-dess has two wires. No magnet in the lanyard cap.

Test both your heat sensor (between Sparkies) and the Beeper (in handlebar pad). Proceedure is in your shop manual.

I'm glad I chanced into this thread.I also have a 95xp with no beeps and was about to start tearing things apart to find my problem.

the only way that you will have a BEEP when you put you safety lanyard on is if you have a DESS system and from my knowledge that started in 96 ...could be wrong because now that im thinking about it dosent the 95 xp LIMITED havea DESS
