I purchased a 1996 Seadoo GSX at an auction. The engine was removed and everything looks to be in good shape just apart. My engine is out of the machine. I have compression, but before I put it back in what checks should I make while the engine is out. Can anyone give me an outline where I should begin to complete this monumental task? Any help would be much appreciated. Also how do I check to see if my mag is ok I have a zero ohms reading from the stator case to any of the yellow wires. Is this ok?

If you got a good deal and you think all the parts are there, then I'd recommed that you join our forum as a premium member. There is no doubt that you'll need the premium services to find tolerances and torques.
The assembly of the rotary valve and timing would be something you might want to approach before re-installing.......other than that, it's pretty easy to put together, just measurements, tolerances and torques will need to be followed so that you don't get it all together, just to have it go "Kaboom"....
