I recently purchased a 95 XP that has a problem with the trim system (surprise surprise right?). I have searched and read a lot of great information on troubleshooting the system but nothing I read or found mentioned the issue I have.

Currently the trim works in the down
direction and stops when it gets to the travel limit just like it should. You can then press the button to raise the trim an it works fine but stops at the half way point. It's acting as if the upper limit switch is incorrectly adjusted and only allowing the system to use half of the available travel. Is the control module junk and need to be replaced or is there something I am overlooking? Thank you for any help!

Tore into the unit last night after taking the ski out for its maiden voyage since I bought it last Friday ( thats a whole different story).

If I keep the unit in the middle of the trim both up and down function correctly. It's only when I get to the travel limit that it starts acting flaky. The solution for now is just to leave it in the middle until I decide to drop some $$ into fixing it. I have other issues to worry about i discovered during yesterdays ride. Nothing to major just lots cavitation to the point where my 650 spx feels like a rocket compared to the XP (wear ring is completely wasted and chewed up)
