Is it fiberglass? I need to get mine up and running first, but I do need a rope door. Also a spotter seat if you have any leads on those.

The piece that sits between the cushion there. Is what I'm missing.

So what goes in that hole are 3 things. The first thing is a piece if styrofoam thats about 3" Think. Then a seat cushion that is covered in vinyl (usually white as its not seen) then another cushion attaches to that. That one is the same as the 3 that are part of the back 3 seat bench seat.

I have all 3 pieces. The two cushion ones will need to be reupholstered. Its almost 9p here and too dark to go outside and find it. Ill work on it tomorrow and send you pictures. You know how hard or easy it is to find. So make me an offer for all three shipped. Btw, where will this be shipped too?

Also...these parts will be coming from a boat that still has the factory OEM rope door, if your interested in that. But there is a rope door on Ebay now, that I'd jump on if I were you.

Also what your missing because its a scarce item to find. They will not be cheap unfortunately. This you have, but its the only thing for that seat for sale at this time online.

I'm in the KC area. I'm rewiring the box now, once completed I need to make sure the engine runs and whatever repair that needs. After that I'll be moving on to body and upholstery. So as you can see it may be a couple months before I'm ready to buy. I'm just trying to do all my research, but I'm glad to hear you're a parts source. I'll let you know when I have it running.

Rewriting the box? That can't be good. Well I may have access to 2 sets of what you need. But they haven't been posted on ebay yet, and Im not going to hold it. But as for parts on this boat...most I have access to. I have access to two speedsters both 97's. But the parts we are selling are flying out the door. Where other stuff like engines, etc we are keeping as spares.

I respect you pricing, but don't let it slip away waiting too long.

I bought it for $300. The guy already had torn out the wiring box and cut out the mpem the is bad. He had the MSD and sold it to me as he was never going to finish the project. Funny thing being the MSD alone is worth more than $300. I've seen a few people on different sites say they have it up and going so I'm going to give it a try. I'm fairly handy, my camper I built in my driveway from scratch. So if I can get the wiring done and move to the engine, I'm hoping I can keep the repair cost down and save finds for the seat upholstery (which is even missing the foam in most places) and then the missing parts like the rope door, etc.

That must be some aftermarket thing. But the MSD4255 says it's for ski's not boats. I personally never seen that red box before. This is what the inside of speedster one looks like. Speedster looks almost exactly the same, just with one less ignition coil, one less rectifier, and one less starter relay fof the most part.

Yes, the MSD instructions are for skis. The challenge is matching the wiring differences, but there are several online (including in this forum) who have claimed to have successfully used the 4255 to bypass the MPEM (you do lose security). They just never seem to be kind enough to share the wiring solution. I'm hoping that the 2 electrical engineers and a mechanic I have proofreading my wiring diagrams keep me in check. It's certainly worth a shot at trying before I turn this boat into a money pit! [emoji857]

I have the cooler door for sale for $200 plus shipping.

So I'm currently testing the waters. Please tell me you're thoughts?

After long hard battle, I have finally acquired the mold for an Aftermarket version of the elusive Rope Door. You can attach Hydro-turf to this without any issues. It only comes in white, but will do black for added cost to cover dye. This will come with a new locking slam lock. And have the rubber seal. Will also come with a new set of OEM hinges preinstalled via rivets like the original one did. I do not have pictures of it yet.

List price will be $150 with free US shipping.
-Upgrade hinges to Stainless for $15
-Upgrade slam lock to Stainless for $15
-Combined upgrade to Stainless for $25

This goes by Seadoo part number: 269700030

This will fit the following boats:
1996 Challenger, 5896
1997 Challenger, 5603/5606
1997 Speedster, 5602/5608
1998 Challenger, 5612
2000 Challenger, 5672

It may also fit a 2000 Sportster LE, 5693. Looks same but its Seadoo part number: 204070716. Not 100% sure on it though.
I need one for my 97 Speedster. How do I order? Thank you

You send me a PM of what options you want with your shipping address. Payment options are discussed there. Than they are made to order, once payment has been made. We are open M-F 9a-5p except holiday's.
Sounds good. I’ll get with you after the holidays. Thank you

I have access to two OEM Rope Doors if anyone is interested for the price if $270 each.

-Comes with Stainless Hinges, Stainless LOCKING Slam Lock and a cable tether like on the cooler door.

1996 Challenger, 5896
1997 Challenger, 5603/5606

Did these boats come with different engine compartment covers? I'm fairly green on sea doo boats but it doesn't seem that mine has this option per the parts diagram.
