I recently put a new top end in one of the engines of my 99 SeaDoo Challenger 1800. I took it out this weekend to break in the new top end (first time taking the boat out). Toward the end of the ride there was a loud continuous beeping sound. I didn't know what this was but I saw the fuel switch on the dash lighting up. I hit that switch and the beeping stopped.
I have read this sound could also be due to overheating. If the fuel switch was lighting up would that mean it was due to low fuel or would this switch also light up if there was an overheating problem?
Note: The fuel guage does work but seems to reads lower than it should. i had about a half a tank in there to begin the ride but the gauge showed about a 1/4 a tank. By the end of the ride it was in the red portion of the gauge.
