99 GTX limited died on the water

I went to take a ride this morning and when I hit start button without key on dess I got nothing.I put key on dess and gauges lite up and ski starts and runs ok for about 5 minutes and dies.I hit start button and nothing no dash lites.I remove key and reinstall and still nothing.I do this a few times and ski starts.A minute later same thing.Ski dies.Try start button nothing.remove key then reinstall and nothing.No power.I remove key reinstall a few times and it starts.I get back to my dock shut it off.Went to check battery and have 12.43 v.Now I push start button witout key and it lites up.Gotta be electrical.I just really need help where to srart.

Dess post is going south. Replace it.

Ok I'll go with that but why do the gauges only somtimes lite up with the start button with the key off the dess?My ski only has 91.5 orig. hours on it.And never in salt.And I should mention the beeper has not worked in a while.

Sorry this has taken so long.I took your advice Bills86e and got a Dess post and replaced it and ski has been running ever since.
