I put new engine in my ski myself 3 years ago and had the shop rebuilt the cabs. Been running great until last weekend. Ski started misfiring and then started dieing out. Finally it died and went dead, the dash was blank. No fuses blown. I worked on it the other day and this is what have I figured out. If I put a wire on the neg side of the batt. and then to the block the dash will light up but the eng will not turn over. If I jump the relay and turn the engine over a few times the ski will come alive and then I can start it several times and then it goes dead again. When I do get it started it will idle but when you give it the gas it bogs down and dies. The jumping of the relay works every time to bring the ski back to life. No fuses ever trip. During this I have replace the batt. the plugs, relay and a new ground wire from the block to batt.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
David

From your explanation, it sounds like the ground to me, but you replaced that. You mentioned that it bogged when you did get it running. We're the fuel lines replaced when the carbs were rebuilt? Check out the 2-stroke PWC section of the forum and repost your question there. I think you will get more looks and responses there.
