I just removed my wear ring thanks to this fourm was just curious on everyones opinions if this was damanged enough to not run at all and cause water to enter. Impeller still spins fine but just wont move. Dr suggested this couldve been my problem from the beggining now that its out ive checked driveshaft luckly its not bent at all. Do you think this is just normal wear for having 195 hours or maybe a bigger problem.

Thanks

that is a carbon ring, not a wear ring. but it can still cause cavitation, and let water in. we will need a pic of the side that is facing down on the table in that pic though. it should be smooth, with no scoring or chips/cracks in it.

the wear ring is around the impeller and keeps a tight gap between the outside edge of the impeller and the pump housing. if it is worn, it can cause cavitation, but not as bad as if the carbon ring were leaking.

Ya I had a retard moment when i said wear ring. It will be replaced also its not in to bad of shape but since its out might as well replace it. For the carbon ring here is another pic. It wouldnt move at all. Impeller and drive shaft were moving fine just making a noise im hoping it was just carbon ring making the noise from moving and allowing water to enter. I ran it with seat off and water was flinging from flywheel. Im crossing my fingers that this will fix it. I started it up for about 5 seconds off the water and noise wasnt as bad and could see impeller moving properly.
