97 XP dies when battery is disconnected

My 97 XP dies when the battery is disconneced. I was wondering if this is normal or idicates a charging problem.

Yes, that's normal, a SeaDoo will not run without a battery, when the voltage drops below 10.5v the mpem will shut down. Do NOT disconnect the battery when the ski is running you could fry the mpem.

Thanks Lou, I thought it might be like a car and continue to run. I definitely won't be disconnecting it again, those MPEMs are pretty pricey.
