i have a 97 seadoo xp. the problem i am having it it is really hard to start. i have to crank it over for about a minute to finally get something to fire. then i have to play with the throttle to get it running. once i get it running the mid and top end are great but the take off is horrible. i have to like flutter the throttle to reach the mid point then it will take off. it bogs if i just wide open the throttle.if i sit for about 15-20 minutes it is almost impossible to start again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way i did nothing to the motor since i owned it brand new. always flushed and sprayed down after every ride.
thanks again

Check compression to realize engines internal health. Read your Shop Manual on
how to measure the Rotary Valve clearance. Your RV cover may need machined
if out of spec. Money well spent for instantaneous start-ups. Bills86e

roatary valve new or machined

do you think it would be better to just buy a new rotary valve instead of getting it machined? I have been looking and they are only 40.00 new.
Thank you for your help

Hard starting Seadoo

COVER>>>>COVER>>>>COVERRRR Have a reputable shop do it.

SBT in Clearwater, Florida specializes in machining the RV cover.

You have not measured the RV clearance as yet, to rule that out.

99% of Seadoo problems are fuel system related. Read your Shop Manual.
