97 gti ? ? ?

I have a 97 GTI ran great when I test drove it but after a trip to the shop it doesn't crank start run make a noise nothing?? is the solinoid inside the electrical box by the battery? I have read that would be the spot to start but couldn't find it ......new to this and would appreciate any help Thanks

yes starter relay in rear electrical box... does it beep when u put key on?
