96 XP 800 Electrical Issue.

Have power to VTS, but no beep and does not turn over. Found this wire cut off in the electrical box. Anyone knows where it goes??

I cant really tell but it looks like that wire was addded to the other one ....is that tape around it??? as far as your problem it sounds like you have a bad lanyard post......

correct me if i'm wrong, cuz i'm kinda new to jet ski's , but if the lanyard post was bad, I wouldn't have power to the VTS would I?

If you don't have any status on the gauges, or if the key isnt on the DESS post, the VTS will not move. Just know that the buzzer (beepers, noise machine's) commonly go bad.

As for that wire, that is a good question. I was just in the rear electrical box in the XP but I don't recall how the wires were routed.

sorry didnt see that part of your post....yes you are correct sorry for the misinformation..... ok does your guages do anything when you put the key on or no...
