Basically I have been battling this issue for 3 years now with no luck, I absolutely for the life of me cant get it to plane and it feels like it's running about half rpms.
List of what I have done/replaced:
New fuel lines
Genuine mikuni carb kits
New rideplate(replaced by shop cause they said that's what it was, but it wasnt)
New solas impeller
New oem wear ring
Whole engine rebuilt(by previous owner)
New carbon seal kit

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it, I basically gave up on it and switched to regular seadoos and now i have 3 that I have fully rebuilt, so I want to get this boat working.
Any help apreciated, thx!

i feel like your thread is kind of like calling up the doctor and saying: "hey doc, my weiner hurts. whats wrong with me?"

there really isn't much to go on here. sounds like you have a one engine boat? i would suggest getting back to basics. start with a compression check. it doesn't matter if it only has one hour since rebuild. it was 3 years ago and who knows what the previous owner did.

did you follow Miki's carb rebuild thread to the letter? did you check the pop off pressure? did you buy oem mikuni rebuild kits?

what about the rotary valve? did you make sure it was lined up properly?

this is where i would start....

Unhook the red wire from the rectifier and see if you gain rpms. Very common for them to go bad, and can create full throttle issues

Dis you have any luck with this? I have 97 sportster and my issue sounds very similar.

I've rebuilt the carbs, genuine and to the letter.
New wear ring and impeller and rebuilt the jet pump. Went out today and the engine sounds good and runs but only goes about half speed. When we first took off it seemed like the stars aligned and it actually went full throttle like a bat outta hell and I could feel the power, as soon as I let off I couldnt get it to plane again. Will only go about half throttle. Gonna check on the rectifier.
