96 gtx acts like you are hitting the killswitch

It has new fuel lines...carbs were cleaned. Good compression good spark...what would cause it to do this? It seems like its something electrical...it will start then it will just cut out but you can start it right back up.

Hi 96DOOGTX and welcome to the 96 GTX mystery problem club. I had almost the same problem since last year.....on then off then on then off again. After replacing a few parts, my buddy & I finally found the problem following the tips from Dr H and others.


......It was the R/Pr wire from the solenoid leading to the R/B wire at the relay holder in the front box....the connector was loose.
