Quick backstory: acquired machine for free after its having changed hands twice. We picked up a rebuilt 787 from SBT to swap in. They take the OEM, you get the rebuilt engine. Also had them set timing and install rotary valve. Reused the OEM exhaust, oil, fuel and drivetrain components.

Currently have it 90% assembled. We are missing a few things; the oil lines to the injectors and a couple fasteners. Also one of the carburetor fasteners stripped out the hole so we're gonna use a helicoil to re-thread it tomorrow. Plus someone sheared off a fastener to the impeller housing in the hull...joy.

Also tomorrow I'm taking it to a service shop nearby, gonna do a walk through and see if I missed anything. From then it's premix and starting the break in procedure.

Here's some photos

I see your pile of shims under the waterbox.... I assume you haven't aligned the engine yet?
You must align it with the proper tool or it will eat driveshafts and PTO's.
