96 GSX fuel baffle Removal

ok havin a real hard time gettin the fuel baffle out for float replacement....Any tips???

Should just slide out. But... on some skis you have to remove the tank.

What's the actual problem?

Hey doc thanx for fast reply....not enough room in hull to slide it all the way out. Have the tank all the way to the front and just trying to get the right angle for the space...hoping i dont have to remove the steering set up

Mine was hard to get out, have to pull the tank to the front, undo the fuel lines and it just barely came out. Mine is an spx tho, but still keep trying.

Ooh... And mine already had the upgraded fuel float, put the new one in and still didn't work. hope you have better luck.

Thumper you have to perform the F1 fuse fix.... Very easy to do. Search on the how to section

On mine I nad to remove the steering and the float assembly came out through the hole. Make sure you chech with an ohm meter to make sure it is working before you put it back.

yup did the same as robj and came right out no problem

Got it out but had to remove steering... No way around it. Replaced fuel float and gas gauge worked fine
