Just picked up this boat and price was pretty good but I know I’ll be spending some to enjoy it. I’ve had a few skis, gti, gtx, Spx and others, didn’t notice this concern on skis.

Noticed when idling out of water, neutral Or in gear that when I go to rev it, it like it hits a rev limiter immediately. Is this normal out of water? Is this a sign of something going bad? Fires right up and sounds normal. I have yet to put in water.

First... yes... on the boats... there's a safety limiter. 3500 rpm is all it will give you N or R.

Second... it's really not advisable to rev a Seadoo out of the water. It's very hard on the carbon seal(s) and if you have a center seal leak... it could runaway on you. (Runs out of control)
