Ok, doesn't look to ever have had sponsons installed. Were they an option? Would like to add
Them, but not sure if I should go stock, or make some "aftermarket style" ones. I have the
Material to make them, just not sure if I need them" yet ". I would like to get a template, or
At least some measurements to replicate the stock mounting hole location. Anyone got their
Sponsons off ?

I have a stock set and a set of trackers. I can get you tracings and measurements.

The sponsons will make a HUGE difference from going without any. It will really dig in on the corners

96 XP800!
Keep the 2 strokes alive!

I saw those, very nice + the price is what they should be, not inflated like the WORK's. Do they mount in
The existing OEM holes? Because that is what I need, the location/ template to drill the holes. In case I want
To put stockers back on. The ski has an Ocean Pro ride plate, I heard that they help, but the sponsons I would figure will help more....

Thanks! Yes, they're stock holes. I have a green 94 XP sponson somewhere I could compare the two just to be sure. I also have a hull I could make a template from as well. Thanks for the comment on the pricing, I try and make the stuff I reproduce in reach for the average guy, not many guys have the extra cash laying around any more.

I know what you mean, usually I try to build my own stuff, when I'm done, and someone asks me where I
Bought it, I 'm happy with the results.

WFO Speedracer is a member of this site who pops up from time to time. He worked at a dealership back in the early days and told me stories about the 93's. He said that so many came in for sponsons that it kept him real busy. He had a template and a hole saw/drinking straw system for the hardware so he could install them in less time then the factory paid.
