93 seadoo xp troubles, please help.

I have a 1993 seadoo xp, last weekend I was going across the lake and the seadoo just turned of as if I hit the stop button. It started right back up and would go for another little bit before turning off again. Now the second I touch the throttle it turns off, also my battery doesnt seem to be charging when the machine is running and its a new battery. Any ideas? Thanks

Charge battery. Start ski. Check rectifier by reving motor to 5500rpm, while holding there, volt-test the battery. Should be 13.5-14.5, if in 12's or 15's, replace the rectifeir

I can't rev the motor up, when I give it fuel it shuts down. At first I thought it was a carb/ fuel problem. I have had the carbs off twice, checked all the filters, fuel lines and fuel selector along with the tank it self with no luck. It doesnt sputter or anything just shuts off as if the stop button was pushed. So now am thinking I have an electrical issue, is this possible?
