Hi all, not sure of the exact SP version it is, my buddy owns it and took the stickers off. we took the skis' out and it was running great untill the seadoo alarm went off. it was a continuous tone alarm. Shut the ski down and then it wouldn't start back up - not even turning over. So we just continued skiing on the other jetskis leaving the SP* at the dock. We went to try starting it back up about an hour later and still no turn over (also the alarm was no long sounding). Once we got it back home he jumped the starter, bypassing the solenoid (i believe) and now it starts right back up like it never had a problem. I'm assuming the continuous alarm was an overheat alarm, but why would it not even turn over? besides just shutting the ski off, is there an alarm reset? We're currently thinking that disconnecting the battery may have reset the alarm allowing it to start back up....

unfortunatly... sounds like you over heated it... and that was the "Straw that broke the camels back."

It probably seized up. Take the cover off of the PTO, and try to turn the engine by hand. If it moves, check the starter. If it doesn't... time for a rebuild.
