I am going to look at a 93 GTX later today and have a question on what to look for.
I know that one cylinder is bad (no compression) the guy said that they were riding it and just quit. They towed it back to shore and said it would run on 1 cylinder but not good (well no kidding) and it has been sitting for 2 years. My question is this, when I go there to look at it I will be bringing a battery out of my boat to turn it over, I want to make sure the motor is not sized. I plan to put a new top end in it and get it running again, the hull looks to be in good shape from the pictures, are their any things I should look at to check the bottom end?
I have 2, 93 GTS which are the same boat just a single carb. So i am somewhat familiar with what is inside the motor compartment but by no means an expert on them.
Any words of advice would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Craig
