Hi everyone:
I have a Challenger 1800 with twin ROTAX 787's and I'm running into a problem were i'm missing the RPM range between 1500 & 4000 on one engine only. Symptoms are as follows:
WHEN COLD
- Engine starts and idles fine at around 1500
- if i increase throttle it slowly creeps up to 2000 then doesn't increase any more. If i continue to increase throttle it jumps to 4000 rpm and works fine in the 4000-7000 rpm range
WHEN HOT
- Engine is difficult to start but when it starts it idles around 1500
- If I increase throttle engine stalls
- If I increase throttle AND choke at same time engine jumps to 4000 rpm and works fine in the 4000-7000 range
Carburetor has been cleaned and rebuilt. Fuel lines have been replaced. Because the fuel line configuration is different on the left/right engine I'm not able to swap carbs to see if the problem goes to the other engine.
Any ideas on what this could be and what I should?
Many thanks!!
