Anyone mounted underwater LED’s on a 2008 230 Wake? I have 4 round lights, trying to figure out best location under the water line on the rear of the boat.

Following as I’ve been thinking about picking up some. Do a fair amount of night time cruising.

I did (4) oznium lights plus (2) drain plug lights on my 180 and they look pretty nice, you'll want to space out 4-6 minimally for good illumination. Using the led drain plugs helped to fill in the center area that is cramped for space around the pump. Water condition and color of the lights will have substantial effects on light transmission in the water.

Finished, turned out great...you are limited on where you can mount them. You’ll see from the pics what I think are the only real locations for the larger round LED’s. I put 5 amp inline fuses between the switches and the battery. I mounted the switches inside the rear cup holders. One on each side, just a simple toggle switch. The two on the left on the left switch...etc. For the two lights in the middle below the exhaust, you’ll need to extend the wire leads before you mount them so you can have enough slack to reach them. Remember to offset your butt splices so they will fit through the wire hole. I used Loctite Marine Silicone, their version of 3M5200. I used heavy grade speaker wire from the switches back to the battery because it is more flexible.
