2018 Spark overheating

On the last ride the engine was running poorly, then stopped with the temp too hot indicator. It there anything that can be checked (coolant level) without removing the top?

There may simply be something stuck in your impeller/wear ring. I've gotten driftwood caught in there that causes vibration and cavitation to a degree that not enough water was getting pumped into the engine cooling system.
