2018 GTI 90 VTS adjustments on the move

I was wondering whether one can override the IBR and adjust the VTS trim while motoring on the water in the absence of the VTR buttons?
Or can I adjust it before motoring off?

I will more than likely test it this weekend.

Press the mode button and display the VTS function on the gauge. Use the up down arrows on the right handlebar to change the VTS setting. The VTS can be set anytime the ski is awake but the nozzle will only move to the desired setting in the forward thrust position.
