I have a speedster 150 2010. After I run the boat for about 15 or 20 min and the motor is hot when I go to start the boat it performs one rotation and then pauses for about 2 seconds and then finishes cranking over. If i open the motor cover and let the motor cool about 30 min it will crank normal again. Talking with a local tech they say there is no issue and i shouldn't be concerned. I have replaced solenoid, starter, battery and checked the charging system. I am running an Interstate deep cycle battery. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Any thoughts on what the issue might be? It certainly is heat related. I have attached a zip file with a video of the start.View attachment SeaDoo Start.zip

Same problem here! Would like to know if you get an answer. The only answer i was told was to get jumper box to carry on the boat. Oh an dI bought my boat in June 2012. Off the showroom floor.

I had the same problem with my 08 RXT last summer. Turned out to be a weak battery. Replaced it and hasn't been an issue since.

Again this is a brand new boat the terminals and post are shinny and clean with tight connection. the battery is a brand new interstate cranking battery from the dealer. I have looked on other forums and see that this happens a lot and no one can explain why. The only remedy seems to be add a second battery and switch from deep cell to cranking. Also I don't run my radio unless the motor is running. I use power shut off switch when motor not running. I'm gonna try a optima dual crank and deep cycle battery this weekend and see if that helps. I appreciate the responses but it's not battery cable or terminals.
