2005 Speedster 200 4tec SC 185 won't start, check engine light help

Hi guys-

Need some advice. I was running the boat today and heard a long beep while driving but didn't notice any problems. Ran for a bit longer and then shut it down and anchored for a bit. When I when to start up, I connected the DESS, got two beeps. One engine started fine and the other I get nothing at all out of but a click. Then after a few moments I get a long beep and the check engine light is constantly lit.

Tried turning the battery switch off starting and stopping a couple of times with no luck. Had to limp back on one engine.

Anyone ever experienced anything like this? My boat has always been top notch with no issues. Starts and runs perfectly. I use it but don't abuse it. No wave jumping etc. Always well maintained. Appreciate any suggestions.

the best way is to take it to the dealer for a fault scan or invest in a candoo to read the fault. otherwise we are only guessing.

Get the battery load tested first. Low volts or amps really screws with things.

If you have a code, not much you can do without the CanDoo Pro.

I would jump the solenoid of the dead engine just to see if it cranks well.

Solenoid was bad. Replaced and fault cleared itself.
