Pull (one at a time) every fuse on the boat several times each (remove, insert, remove, insert). Do this also for all plugs you can access. Just a little corrosion in the right place and she's dead. Rubbing the male and female together can scratch things back to making contact.
 
Probably either main battery, main relay or stator in fuse. These machines are very unhappy without 13v+ running and any of those will have the ECM see 9v or 10v easily (and overheat anything not making 100% contact)
