2004 rxt Smoke under seat

Was riding in choppy water and ski died smoke coming from engine somewhere smelt like wires burning cannot find problem had to get towed in on trailer nothing .got home and put charger display reads check engine and sensors that’s it need some help figuring this out .

Press the set button 5 times to read your codes. Smoke may be an exhaust leak, so look for that and damaged wires.

Ok did the code thing and says 1681 0461 then end remove the key .
Put key back in does a short beep then a double beep every few seconds double beep then message reads out chk engine sensor sensor that’s about it I can try and start but it feels like it’s struggling to start . Remove S P turns over strong put spark plugs back in and it try’s to start then struggles trying to turn over
