2004 D3 left over night takes on water

i just bought a 2004 3D premium. It runs perfect, there is no damage to hull, bilge and vacume system work great when running. But i left it overnight in the water with the cover on and the next day both compartments were 1/2 full of water almost enough to sink it. it this normal? Water was 1/2 way up the cylinders. Any input would be appreiciated.

Shaft seal....

They are not designed to be left floating at a pier overnight. Your water probably entered through the shaft seal. Your bilge system is set up with bailer tubes that keep the water out, only when the ski is running.

so there is nothing i can do? i have to pull it in and out every day?

I was thinking of hooking up the bilge direct to the battery with a solar panel to keep the charge up, do you think it would work ok? hauling in and out a little bit of pain where i am located
