Okay so I've been trying to get my boat running and seem to be running into some problems. Unfortunately, I did not follow all the recommended procedures required before not using the boat for 8 months. I live in Florida, so I thought that I didn't have to worry too much about "Winterizing" the boat before not using it for a long period of time.

Anyhow, the boat is not turning over. I have installed a brand new battery, starter solenoid, and spark plugs. I still haven't had any luck. These videos will show you what is happening.

First video - Before replacing battery, starter solenoid, and spark plugs.

Second video - After replacing battery, starter solenoid, and spark plugs.

Third video - Removed the spark plugs to check if the engine was Hydrolocked.

I've also checked all the fuses to make sure they weren't burnt out. I've covered all the troubleshooting instuctions that I could manage to find and I can't seem to find anything. Can someone please lend their opinion on what they think it could be.

Thanks,

Danny

To be clear, IT IS turning over, but not starting.

You need to test to see if you have spark next. If you have spark, then you need to confirm you have and are getting fuel.

Coastiejoe is right. I'd stop throwing parts at it until you confirm the essentials needed for an engine to run (Fuel, spark, air, and compression) are all present.

Did it run when you put it away last? When you connect the DESS key try to listen for the fuel pump. It will prime the system as soon as you connect the key.

+1 on checking compression (don't use your finger)

Yeah check the fuel pump. In my video the fuel pump is running however you can see that one one of the three injectors were working.

So the fuel injectors and pump was not bad, but a bad fuse block running interference on the injector circuits.

So helpful advice, videos should be shot with the phone sideways. There is a couple of reasons for this: 1) We can see more with information on side 2) youtube forces the video to a smaller screen size.

And if that does not convince you:

I'd maybe unplug the coil packs prior to removing the fuel rail and injectors when checking for fuel delivery or at least have a fire extinguisher nearby just in case.

If you have a multimeter you can always check the Ohms on each injector. The info is in the repair manual. Pic is from my repair manual.

like me a 2003 model dont have faults displayed, candoo is a good investment!

could be fuel supply (pump, injectors), what fuel do you use? ethanol fuel will absorb water causing issues if left for awhile.
