2000 Speedster Mercury M2 240hp EFI

Last summer I took the boat out and it ran great the first day. The next morning it would start and run for 2 seconds then stall. Has anyone had this happen and if so what was the solution?

Check the fuel pressure at the VST- shrader (like a tire) valve. If the pump inside is not running, engine will run until fuel pressure is depleted- about 3 revolutions. Check with key ON, engine OFF.

where is the VST located?

The curved cast tank on the port side of engine. Shrader valve is on top, should have a plastic cap on it.
