2000 Seadoo XP Limited, No Beep when connecting lanyard? Help?

I have a 2000 XP and from what I have read it should beep twice when I connect the lanyard. When I connect the lanyard i hear something cycle on (Fuel Pump?) and then it starts and runs cherry. Does this mean that my warning beeps are disabled as well? Please help me out, thanks.

May just be the buzzer is dead. It happens now and again. If you are running just fine, then that is probably it. You can do simple testing on it by hooking a 9volt directly to the buzzer momentarily and seeing if it makes a noise. If not, you can replace it.

where is it?? Is it in the handlebars or down under in the engine compartment.

yes should be in handlebars if I remember correctly

I seem to recall the buzzer is located in front of the handlebars.
