We are having an issue with our Seadoo. We get out and ride and after 10 to 15 minutes it dies. You can start it right back up but it only runs for 1-2 seconds. If you let it sit for 5-8 minutes, it will start back up and stay running but almost acts like its flooded. You hold it wide open and it will only go 25-35 mph for a minute or so, then it will take off like nothing ever happend. I did put a new battery in and it ran good for a while longer but still ended up stopping on us in the middle of the lake. Here is what I have checked out so far.

Voltage at 4000 RPM is 13.4 volts.
Fuel pump amp draw is 7.2 Amps (Any RPM. I only checked for 1 to 2 minutes.)
I've read that the fuel pump should only draw 4-5 amps......
The stators are 60, 60 & 70 ohm's

What I've been reading is most likely the fuel pump is getting warm and starts drawing ALOT of amps and drains the battery. That would make sense since a new battery allowed us to ride a little longer. We did get a code of low voltage to Fuel pump from the dealer. They thought Battery or Fuel pump.

Welcome to the forum Paul. I've heard that the DI's can be tricky. Try posting your question in the 2-stroke PWC section. You should be able to get assistance from the others there. God luck.

hey Paul hope you got it going...listen i have kinda the same problem but my turn off after 2/3 min without any warning nor alarms on my ski.
I have 02 GTX Di and i dont know if they have the same engines. Do you think my problem is also the fuel pump,
I mean it turns on again right away with no problems but like i said it turns off 2/3 min or if i accelerate , just turns off quick!
