I'm not sure how to remove the oil pump line on this carb. Just changed all my fuel lines from the gray tempo to black so now I want to clean the carb. I also noticed by throttle cable is frayed. How do I remove the oil pump cable from this carb? How do I replace the throttle cable on this machine? Not sure if i should post this to a new thread but any help would be greatly appreciated.

The oil pump cable is threaded into that block. So, loosen the jam nut... and then the other section will un-thread.

To get the throttle cable out... you will need to remove the handlebar pad... and then just take it off at each end, and remove it.

While you have everything apart why not do away with the oil pump. Since you live in New Jersey it is more than likely you use it in salt water, the cable is prone to rusting which leads to the engine failure immediately following the break. If you install a blockoff plate you will never have to worry again. Also be sure to keep oil in the oil tank as this bathes the rotary shaft and bearings.
