I have a 2000 GTX I just bought and when I took it out had little power and strugged to get to 3800 rpms. Once it hit about 3800 the engine sounded better and I would have power. I took it in and did the following:
Cleaned all of the fuel filters.
Took the carbs apart cleaned them.
Reattached the return fuel line on the carb that appeared to have not been securly attached.
Cleaned the RAVE valves
Empty tank and added new 91 fuel.
It now runs good on the trailer and starts right up. Put it in the water now when I give it throttle it dies out.
Help I am stuck.
