I've recently rebuilt my engine because it became hydrolocked. The starter worked fine before I rebuilt it and I actually replaced the starter solenoid. I've rebuilt the engine and when I press the start button now and all I get is a constant click from my starter solenoid. Does anybody know a solution? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is the click coming from the solenoid or the starter. I found with mine if that battery is to weak it will just sit there and click insted of turn over

So, it turns out i'm an idiot. I didn't realize that for some reason there has to be a non-conductive plastic piece between the starter and the positive battery terminal on the screw. I fixed that up and it cranked like it was brand new. Thank you though for you quick responses I do appreciate the help you guys are willing to give. Now it's off to time it and put it in the water!
