What would cause a resonator to melt a hole in it the size of a baseball and put a hole in the bleed line. The first run of the season, the ski stopped and had to get towed back in. I guess I’m lucky the engine died, put it back on the trailer drained it started fine even with the water in the hull.View attachment 34966

You have a blockage in one of the cooling lines or water passages. Water is actually injected into the exhaust to keep these exhaust parts cool.

Hooking the water hose up and running would that find the blockage? How long would that take to happen?
Thanks in advance

Not always. Best way is to blow out all hoses with compressed air. With no water it would melt fast.
