Ive got a 1999 gsx ltd.

wen u put the lanyard in after a min at gives a 2sec beep. then beeps every 5mins. the engine starts 1st time an runs realy well but if u give it more then quarter throtle it seems to hit sum kind of limiter, like a limp mode.

So far ive cleaned the carb an replaced all the old fuel lines ect. and all the speed adjusters are correct. the plugs an fuel are all new

Can any1 help

do compression test, then re-do carbs, stud...think thats the problem, while at it, pull/clean the raves, too. Also, check inline fuel filter, if o-ring inside bad/hard, replace entire thing with an inline filter, also, go thru the fuel selector valve..(on,off,reserve)

An intermittent beep can mean may things:
1) Does your fuel gauge work? (when mine failed it would give a long beep every 2 or 3 minutes)

2) Are you low on oil?

If both issues are fine more in depth troubleshooting will be required. I'm not sure if a limp mode was present for that year, maybe somebody else can shed some light.

Oil an fuel is fullup. the on screen display doesn't say anything about a problem. it just beeps.
Is there a website with all the beep codes on? the manual has nothing init about beeps
