Hi all. this maybe be a simple question to an experienced user but i have only had my sled since last wensday

today i was taking it out for a bit just put oil and gas in.

It was only revving upto 6000 so i was turning around and heading back into the marina

as im on my way back it was running 6000 rpm when i heard something like a snapping sound and very fast clicking from the motor i believe. i pulled the key reached underneath for any weeds etc when i get back on the sled it wont fire up and i had to get pulled in. im letting it sit over night and hopefully pull it out tomorrow. any body with any knowledge to share on this subject would be much appreciated.

took impeller off today and nothing looks out of sort with that or the spark plugs. pulled it out of the water and fired it up for a quick minute any suggestions will help thanks

Since making the noise... is it not cranking over... or is it not starting?

On that ski... there is an intermediate bearing unit, and it could have seized up. But... the engine could have give out also.

I pull it out of the water. drain all the water. took the impeller off and it starts up. im believing it has something to do with the shaft.. still i am not experienced with these things.

I put everything back together today to take it out. i got out of the marina and while heading into more open water i had the same problem

check compression
fuel lines
fuel filter
RAVEs
water regulator
throttle cable tension
oil pump operation
plugs in good shape?

Check all moving parts. Sounds like maybe that bearing is starting to seiz like Doc said or starting to come apart. Can you run it and locate the sound?
