1998 SeaDoo Speedster Jet Boat w/ Trailer.
16’ twin engine (2 stroke Rotax 787) totaling 220HP.
Mechanically a sound boat, both engines start right up and run just fine.
Port Engine:
When I purchased this boat the port engine was inoperable. I did a full rebuild on both of the port engine carburetors (using Mikuni OEM rebuild kits), all new top end gaskets (base, head, carb, exhaust), clean and rebuild of RAVE exhaust valves, new spark plugs, and new fuel pump and filter and all new fuel lines. All maintenance done per SeaDoo repair manual.
Starboard Engine:
Completed a mechanical disassembly/cleaning/reassembly of the both carburetors, clean and rebuild of RAVE exhaust valves, and new spark plugs.
Hull:
Hull is in great shape. Some defects in the gel coat but nothing that penetrates the hull. NO soft spots. Boat fully cleaned and detailed and aesthetically in great shape. Includes a built in ski pole.
The Bad:
•Stereo/speakers are inoperable. Fully intended to replace but never got around to it. Should be a simple fix as all the wiring is easily accessible.
•Nav lights are inoperable. Could be as simple as bad bulbs as interior lights operate just fine.
•Seat covers are in rough shape and will definitely need to be replaced. A new set of covers can be made and shipped to you for your own install for $375 in the color of your choosing. I will gladly provide the website to procure these.
Since the mechanical issues have been sorted/corrected, it shouldn’t take but a weekends worth of work to give this boat a great stereo and some new curb appeal with new seat covers. Rotax 787 engines are 2 stroke personal watercraft engines and are VERY easy to work on and maintain. Parts are readily available online and locally at Jet Blast in Gulfport.
Digital PDF shop manual and user manual will be provided to buyer upon purchase of boat.
Selling due to upcoming move and little interest to own a boat anymore. Includes a paddle and anchor. Title for trailer in hand, will provide bill of sale for all items upon sale.
