So, some history and then the problem.. last fall, burned up the thrust bearing and melted the bearings to the shaft. Took GSX to a Seadoo shop… I also had a bit of a water leak that I had been dealing with for a few years, but nothing to be concerned about. But since I was going to have to replace the pump, shaft and so on… I asked him to track down the leak and repair it. Now get the GSX back, (mind you paid the guy to do a lake test). He ended up replacing the pump, shaft, bearings, seals, wear rings.. and so on. Anyways, about the leak… said one of the sponsons was leaking and was loose. So he said, whoever had it before me, had taken spray expanding foam and sprayed it all up on the inside where the leak was… guessing in an attempt to temporally seal the leak. So he took it all out, put new seals around it and then tighten it. Whatever he did, works because it’s not leaking now. But I have this really cool new problem. At around 55 MPH, it’s deciding to take a very hard right and will throw you off. It almost feels like the butt end is being “pushed” to the right. I took it out of the water after about 3 different riders having the same results. And couldn’t find anything loose or bent or missing… I did however notice that the sponson on the right side is now a different color. I called him and told him about the problem and he tried telling me it was the steering cable. I can turn the steering to the right or left and cannot move the steering with pushing or pulling the nozzle. I asked about the different color sponsons and he’s playing dumb with me. I measured them and they are the same size and located almost in the same spots on both sides. Thinking one might be bigger/smaller than the other. Any ideas? (I think I covered everything)
