1997 xp exhaust getting HOT!!!

I have a 97 xp. It filled full of water, due to being tipped over. I dried everything out got it running and now the exhaust is getting extremely hot after riding it for about 3or4 minutes. can someone please help me?? thanks

Probly loosened the built up sand in the cooling lines, cylinders. Your first Roll?

No it has been rolled and full of water a couple other times..

Mine just did this. Clogged cooling line from fresh water. I didnt catch it until i melted cooling and oil lines and burnt paint off exhaust pipe. Unhook all hoses and blow them out and you should be fine unless you have a serious obstruction.

thanks alot for the info.. i took all the lines off blew them out and put it all back together. i have ran it quite a while on the garden hose but havent made it to the lake yet. It didnt ever run hot hooked to the garden hose im hoping it is fixed. Taking it to the lake tomorrow..:hurray: thanks alot
