Looking to upgrade my 97 spx. I am new to the upgrades scene... I am looking to improve handling and too end speed. I’d like to eliminate the bouncing when going fast as well as improving the ability to turn. I d also like to gain a few MPH while I’m at it. What are the best bolt on upgrades I can do to my rebuilt STOCK motor. Not looking to build the engine. And where or who can I buy these from. Thanks in advance.

Handling improvements like sponsons from @racerxxx or billet extended trim tabs from me actually rub a little top end speed off but are worth it. There is some more drag but in conditions other then flat water you gain a lot of speed because you can stay flat and stay in the throttle.

The stock motor gives about as much performance as one can get on pump gas while maintaining reliability. Even now 20 years later the power to weight is still unmatched.
