1997 speedster fuel leak- only when full

In advance, thank you for your input.

I have a 1997 Speedster that i bought last fall. I have on two occasions filled the tank to the top. When I do so it leaks fuel, I can't seem to find the leak. Its only when it is full. It leaks out gallon or so and then stops.. Anybody seen this or heard of it before? I know this is a big deal and need to nail it down or its a season ender..

Perhaps a bad vent. I have lost a very little (like maybe a cup) outta the vent on the side of my 98 Sportster when its packed full, but thats at the gas station and u see it happen.
You say you arent sure where its leaking from, but where is it leaking to?
