Been doing alot of tuning lately and finally got it dialed in as the plugs are light brown and it runs good without any hesitations, or bogging but the ski just randomly shuts down they the key got pulled off, sometimes I can restart it right away by hitting the start button, other times I get 2 loud beeps and have to pull the key off to start it. Happens at random speeds, going slow and or fast.

I have a good ground from the battery to the starter then another I added grounded to the motor itself. I think it might be the dess post?

Also is it normal for these engines to run warm on the cylinders, and stator cover feels hot. My motor runs good and the temp sensor does not go off so I was just wondering if these 787 motors are like that.

Check the 15amp fuseholder in the electrical box. Mine was corroded and the fuse was popping around just a hair and there would be a complete shut down. Changed the holder and solved my problem. There can be many more reasons for your problem but this might help.

I will check all electrical connections tomorrow and change out the dess. Might just buy a none good mpem also while I am at it.

Thanks! I got the same thing going on with mine right now. Thats a really weird problem, How the hell did you figure that out? Was your VTS working at the time? Or was the relay blown like every other VTS?

My dess post would not read the key, or I constantly had to pull the key on/off while riding to keep the ski running at one point the key no longer was working. I sent out my spare mpem to get tested and to have a new key programmed and when I got it back and installed it the ski still would not beep when the key was installed. Knowing the mpem, key, and dess post were good, also having a large spare part collection I changed out the VTS harness and it worked for me.
