1997 Sea Doo XP starting problem

My 1997 Sea Doo XP only starts when I twist or shake the electrical box in the front. This box contains the ignition coil and connects the two spark plug wires and several other things. If anyone has any ideas about what may be going wrong here? All other things seem to work ok.
